Mission

The Network for Southeast Ultrafast & Nonlinear Spectroscopy (NSUNS) aims to advance the Southeast as a dynamic center of advanced spectroscopy research.

We do so primarily by providing platforms to promote interaction between researchers and facilitate the exchange of information. We hope to connect people with potential collaborators, mentors at varying career stages, PhD or postdoctoral job candidates/employers, and other folks of interest.

A major initiative of the network is an annual symposium series to showcase recent advances in the development and application of cutting-edge spectroscopy in the region and beyond. The first symposium took place on October 25-28  at SERMACS 2023 in Durham, NC and the second symposium will take place October 23- 26 at SERMACS 2024 in Atlanta, GA.

If you conduct research in advanced spectroscopy in the Southeast and would like to have your group added to the website and be contacted about future events and initiatives, please email pohno [at] auburn.edu or another member of the organizing committee.

We also run an NSUNS Slack workspace for easy communication, which can be joined using this link or by contacting cdutta [at] gsu.edu.
